April 7, 2017 - NZ Primary Schools Cricket Cup - Girls Year 7/8 Regional Final: EBIS White Ferns (including four Easts girls) vs Raroa Intermediate

Four of our Eastern Suburbs Year 5-8 Supersmash League team (Esme, Liby, Rakaia and Sorcha) were in the EBIS White Ferns team that played Raroa Intermediate at the Basin Reserve recently in the NZ Primary Schools Cricket Cup Girls Year 7/8 Regional Final.

February 19, 2017 - Eastern Suburbs vs Onslow, Nairnville Park:  EASTS WON BY 9 WICKETS
Our new  Eastern Suburbs Year 5-8 Supersmash team had a very successful opening game today. In a 16 over per side game, Onslow batted first and made 15 runs for 6 wickets. Libby Sexton (1-2 off 2 overs), Hannah Holloway (1-6 off 2 overs), Rakaia Burwell-Garratt (1-5 off 2  overs) and Esme Olney-Boyd (1-2 off 2 overs) were the wicket takers.

In reply Easts comfortably reached their target and ended on 93 for 2 wickets. Kate Johnson (18 retired), Esme Olney-Boyd (12 retired), Sorcha O'Grady (12 retired) and Libby Sexton (10 retired) all reached double-figures.

Congratulations to Kate Johnson who was awarded the 'Player of the Day' and well done to the entire team - many of whom were playing their first ever game of cricket!
