The Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club is proud of its inclusive programme, enabling hundreds of young cricketers from the southern and eastern suburbs of Wellington to develop skills, friendships and a love of the game. We offer 'Have-A-Go-Smash-Play' on Friday evenings for cricketers in Year 1 (or younger), and Saturday morning teams who play in Cricket Wellington's junior competitions for players from Years 2-8.
The primary aim of our junior cricket programme is for all of our players to come back every season as a result of the fun, development and belonging that they experience being part of the club. The Club prioritises giving practical support to its large team of voluntary coaches and managers to enable every player to have the best possible experience every week.  Cricket is a wonderful sport for developing values, friendships, teamwork and strategy.  New Zealand Cricket's 'age and stage' approach ensures that junior cricket is a physical activity experience that is accessible to everyone.
We would be delighted if you would join us for the 2025/26 Season
