N.B. Examples used in this article relate to the 2019-20 season and Year 7. Please adjust accordingly for future seasons and other grades.
Each grade convenor should have access rights to view the appropriate 'Year n Players 2019-20' report using their regular Easts Junior Cricket registration log in. If you are not able to see your report of have any other issues with reporting, please contact the database administrator (see contact details at the end of this article).

Year 7 Players 2019-20 report
This report lists all players where their Playing Year 2019 value is 'Year 7' and their Status 2019 value is not blank i.e. either 'Registered', 'To Be Confirmed' or 'Not playing 2019'. The top section of the report contains all the players yet to be allocated to a team i.e. 'Team 2019' is blank. To allocate a player from this group (or move a player from another team group), click on the 'Team 2019' field for that player, select the required team name and click the Submit button. Press F5 to refresh the screen.
The default number of records displayed is 100. This should be plenty to display all players for any year group in one screen but to change this, click on the '100 per page' drop-down box and select the desired number of records.
Other fields held on the Player object are in 'editable' state to allow you to change players details if required i.e. DOB (date of birth), Gender, School Year, Hastings 2020, Shirt Size 2019-20, School and Notes. Other fields that are on the Parent record are not able to be changed - these have to be done by the person identified in the Parent column or by the club's database administrator.
Grade Convenor's Checklist & Recommendations
1. Ask team managers in your year group to chase up parents of players in their team from last season that are still showing as 'To Be Confirmed'. This will remind parents to log in and change the status to 'Registered' if they are playing this season, or to 'Not playing 2019' if not returning. Grade convenors and team managers will be able to do these updates themselves manually via their grade or team report - especially as many parents with players not returning shouldn't be expected to log in just to do this update.
2. Check for any 'Registered' status players new to the club or perhaps returning after a break of at least one season i.e. their 'Team 2018' value is blank. Check the Notes field for any special requests made by their parent(s) to determine which team to allocate them to. Other considerations where a specific team has not been requested is to consider the school the players attends (to place them in a team with school mates) and also how many players are already allocated to a team or likely to return and have yet to confirm.
